Returning from the European cup tie against Red Star Belgrade, the plane carrying Manchester United players and officials crashed on take off at Munich - Riem Airport, Germany. 23 Dead, 19 injured. Included in the dead were 7 Manchester United players plus one who died of his injuries later.
